Urinary Tract Infection

Quickly get relief

What is a Urinary Tract Infection?

A urinary tract infection (UTI) is caused when bacteria gets into parts of your urinary system. Things like not drinking enough water, being sexually active, or certain health conditions can make UTIs more likely.

UTIs are pretty common and easy to treat, but catching them early on is important to avoid more serious problems.

Symptoms of a UTI

Can UBI Telehealth help me?

*If you are experiencing fever, nausea/vomiting please seek in person care with your primary physician, an urgent care clinic, or the emergency room (ER) immediately.

Got Questions?

We’ve got the answers.

Yes! All items within the UBI Telehealth Travel Med Kit are prescription only. You will need to fill out the patient questionnaire which the physician will review before prescribing you the Med Kit.

Unfortunately, not through UBI Telehealth. Male anatomy makes diagnosing a UTI via telehealth
more complex since lab testing is usually required to give proper diagnosis of what is going on. If you are
male and feel you may have UTI symptoms, please seek in person care for treatment.

You’ll need to request anther prescription via your UBI Telehealth patient portal. Please keep in mind that your physician may determine its best to seek in person care if you’ve already been treated for two UTIs in the past three months, or if you’ve had four or more UTIs in the past year.

These are signs there may be an underlying condition that needs proper treatment, or a sign of
antibiotic resistance.

Your UBI Telehealth physician will choose between Ciprofloxacin – 500mg tablet or Levaquin – 500mg
tablet. Please let your provider know if you have any allergies to these antibiotics.

You can always message your physician any questions you may have through your UBI Telehealth patient portal.
